I’m Back!!! I’ve been taking a bit of a blogging break after John Luke’s birth. He is thriving and growing like a weed. Thank you all for your kind well- wishes and prayers. They’re clearly working! We are loving our family of five and can’t get in enough John Luke snuggles. I’ve been trying to keep ya’ll updated on the sizing for the newborn outfits I’ve made him but if you have any questions, shoot me a message!
A lot of the questions I get on various platforms are about Undershirts, Socks, Shoes, and various pieces that go with all of my sewn creations. I thought it may be helpful to make a post for reference.
***I earn a small commission on most items listed in this post if purchased***
1. Girls’ Peter Pan Shirt – I put these under any jumper or overall’s Maria wears. They’re also great with pants for play. They’re made from a super soft Pima Cotton.
2. Knee Socks-All of my kids have these. The listing says that they’re for girls but I have found them to be listed as unisex in other places. I always purchase these from Amazon because we have Prime. They arrive quickly and ship free.
3. Boys’ Peter Pan Shirt -I often buy these in bulk from Primary. Robbys destroys any and all undershirts so it makes sense for me to buy these, not make them. These clean well (I get the white ones so I can bleach them) and fit great. They’re made from super soft Pima Cotton.
4. Play Shoes– I have just found this incredibly affordable alternative to footmates/l’amour. These are so great for days when you know scuffing is inevitable. She’s worn them several times and says they’re comfortable and she can put them on herself because the first strap is actually velcro. I’ll still be buying her a nice dress pair but these are great for school and you can’t beat the price!
5. Boy saddle Shoes who isn’t a sucker for a saddle shoe?! These come in so many colors and are just too properly perfect.
6. Turtleneck– perfect to layer with Jon-Jons, Cardigans, Jumpers…all things fall/winter.
7.Overalls-current obsession. These are great because they’re unisex and appropriate for all ages…meaning hand-me-downs! I’m all for getting as much use out of garments as possible while still family matching. These fit all of my kids well and for a long time.
8. Cardigan-everyone needs a staple cardigan, and this one from Beaufort Bonnet has the sweet pearlized buttons that really dress it up.
Hope y’all enjoyed this one! I’m going to get back into the swing of blogging with babies. This post was written with my sweet little sidekick 🙂
