Christmas is such a fun time for crafting! However; it often falls on the shoulders of the parents to come up with the craft ideas. I thought I may compile a list of a few fun Christmas Craft options here. Not going to lie, this is kind of for my own future reference. I figured I’d put it in blog form to save another mama, or grandmama some time.
Paint Christmas Ornaments: this year Maria is giving her cousins personalized ornaments. It can be tricky to encourage a spirit of giving, rather than receiving, during the Holidays. Personalizing items for others seems to be working for us this year. Maria used clear plastic ornaments, glitter snow, and this paint set. These ornament kits with water beads also look like A LOT of fun, we may try these next year!
Paint your own Nativity Scenes: we’ll be doing this with her cousins this year….I’ll let y’all know how it goes, I found my plaster version at Hobby Lobby (doesn’t appear to be listed online, similar version here) but this wooden one looks like fun too:
Christmas Garland DIY: Perfect for kiddos interested in sewing. I did a whole post on this last year, check it out here!
Gingerbread Houses: Maria and Robby were invited to their friends’ gingerbread house decorating party this year and had an absolute blast being crafty (and eating excessive sugar) with their buds. It was such a cute party idea too!
Foam Holiday Kits: These seem to be everywhere this year. They make for great toddler entertainment at restaurants, parties, dinners, any time you’d prefer keep your little one off a screen.
